Additional Information

Mike leads the Liberal Democrat Group on the Assembly and speaks for the group on housing, planning, the environment and the budget. Mike is a former member of the GLC and was a member of Lambeth Council 1990-2002 and Lib Dem Leader for 8 years, including 4 years as joint council leader. From 2002 to 2008, he was a member of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, latterly as leader of the Lib Dem group. Mike is a chartered accountant by profession and worked as a charity manager before setting up a successful small business, advising large companies on becoming more socially and environmentally responsible. He supports several community, civil liberties and environmental causes. Mike and his young family live in Clapham.
